Video and Highlights from Davido’s concert in Lagos
The popular Afrobeats megastar, Davido, on Sunday night, thrilled concertgoers in Lagos with a remarkable performance of tracks from ‘Timeless’, his latest album.The much-anticipated ‘Timeless’ concert was held at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) in Lagos.
The concert was hosted by Mr. Macaroni, the comic actor, and KieKie, the actress.
The show kicked off with sterling performances from fast-rising singers like Khaid, Majeeed, Spyro, Odumodublvck, and Starboy Terri.
Iyanya thereafter took over the stage to the delight of the concertgoers who sang along with him as he delivered an extraordinary performance of ‘Mr. Oreo.’
May D and B-Red also blessed the crowd with remarkable renditions of their hit songs before Davido was welcomed to the stage with loud cheers.
The OBO crooner kicked off the night with energetic performances of his classics like ‘Gobe’, ‘Aye’, ‘Skelewu’, and ‘Dami Duro’ before delivering his latest offerings from the ‘Timeless’ album.
Asake, Mayorkun, and The Cavemen were among the notable names who joined the Afrobeats star on stage to perform their hit collaborations.
Also in attendance was Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle who is the governor of Osun.
Davido already held his New York and London concerts on April 2 and April 5, respectively.
Since the album’s release on March 31, ‘Timeless’ has continued to garner millions of streams across global music platforms.
On April 10, it secured the 37th spot on the United States Billboard 200 chart.
The feat also came about a week after the album had set its first-day streaming record for an African album on Apple Music.
