Former Muvhango actress, Millicent Makhado, got her hands dirty cleaning her kasi.

She stated that maintaining Tshwane’s Saulsville clean is her top goal.

Millicent claims she swallowed her celebrity and went to the streets to clean up trash on Thursday, May 4th.

Millicent is one of the co-founders of the Soulbent Project, which began in 2007.

She expressed her gratitude to Tshwane mayor Cilliers Brink for joining them during the cleanup drive.

“It’s always healthy and good to live in a clean environment,” she said.

Millicent said they clean their kasi regularly and many people have now joined them, which they are happy with.

She said they have a garden project where they grow vegetables and also do recycling. Millicent said she also helps young kids with acting skills.

Millicent told the publication her fans should expect to see her an upcoming SABC2 telenovela towards the end of May 2023.

“I’m not going to give anything away yet, but fans can expect a good show. I did what I do best as an actress,” she said.

Brink said the initiative is very important and they’re glad they’ve partnered with Soulbent Project.

“They are helping us to keep the community clean. We are not winning the war on waste and clean spaces,” he said.
