After much anticipation, the highly awaited Marvel movie, Blade, is finally moving forward with production. Fans of the vampire-hunting superhero have been eagerly waiting for updates on the project, and the news of filming beginning has sparked a resurgence of excitement. With Academy Award-winner Mahershala Ali set to take on the titular role, there is a great deal of intrigue surrounding the direction of the film. Ali himself has expressed confidence that the movie will stay true to the character’s roots and not fall into the trend of becoming “woke.”
Ali’s Commitment to Staying True to Blade
Mahershala Ali, who has been a long-time fan of the Blade character, has been instrumental in getting the movie off the ground. He has been vocal about his commitment to honoring the essence of the original Blade comics and delivering a film that stays true to the source material. This dedication to authenticity has reassured many fans who have been concerned about the potential for the movie to veer into politically charged territory.
Blade as a Classic Action-Horror Film
With the recent resurgence of superhero films, there has been much debate about the direction of the genre. Ali has made it clear that he sees Blade not as a platform for social commentary, but as a classic action-horror film. This has been welcomed by fans who are eager to see a return to the character’s roots as a powerful vampire hunter, rather than a vehicle for promoting a specific agenda.

Response from the Marvel Community
The announcement of Blade’s production has generated significant buzz within the Marvel fanbase. Many have expressed excitement over the prospect of seeing a new iteration of the vampire slayer, especially with Mahershala Ali in the lead role. The response has been overwhelmingly positive, with fans eager to see how the iconic character will be handled in the modern era of superhero films.
Guarding Against “Woke” Film Making
Mahershala Ali has been unwavering in his determination to ensure that Blade does not fall victim to the trend of “woke” filmmaking. This term refers to the infusion of progressive political and social messaging into movies, sometimes at the expense of storytelling and character development. Ali has emphasized the need to respect the original material and deliver a film that prioritizes the core elements of the Blade character.
Blade’s Place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Many fans are curious to see how Blade will fit into the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). With the recent introduction of supernatural elements in movies like Doctor Strange, Blade’s vampire-hunting escapades could offer a fresh and exciting dimension to the MCU. The potential for crossovers and team-ups with other characters has captured the imagination of many fans, and the prospect of seeing Blade in action alongside the likes of Spider-Man and Black Panther is eagerly anticipated.
The Legacy of Blade
Blade holds a special place in comic book history as one of the first major black superheroes to appear in mainstream comics. The character, originally created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist Gene Colan, made his first appearance in Marvel Comics in the 1970s. Wesley Snipes famously portrayed the character in a trilogy of films in the late 90s and early 2000s, which played a significant role in paving the way for the modern era of superhero movies. With Mahershala Ali now stepping into the role, there is a sense of reverence for the character’s legacy, and a hope that the new film will honor the groundbreaking nature of Blade’s original incarnation.
Blade… rip…
This is gonna flop. Big time
Blade? i think they mean dull knife ??
Facts
With the current state of modern Hollywood this will be garbage. Any modern Hollywood product is guaranteed to be garbage.
Sad, I loved the movies.
This is why I'm gonna stick with classic marvel 1999/2008-10
They can’t help themselves ? you know what’s gonna happen
They should throw in the towel & tap out
Blade, will become Blunt and hang out with Snoop Dogg and smoke themselves stupid throughout the film, while the strong, independent, powerful Wamen, sort out the Vampires and find themselves a diverse girlfriend while they are at it. Thats my guess ???
Still there's not a single thing that will buy me into this movie.
The Spider-Man 2 game is really fun ?️
? I've been getting my superhero fix there.
Wolverine is also coming too ?
He may be confident but im certainly not. Making blade a mus and not atheist is already a bad sign
Bait and switch incoming.
cant wait for the post credit scene with Morbius featuring the Vulture
What do you think will happen with blade?
I'll believe it when I see it Ali.
What I suspect is he will get his ass whooped by his little girl, if not shown up by her entirely, and be unable to show any authority toward her.
if race swapping is the woke, progressive thing to do, why is Blade not being race swapped??
Free is a nice price for all upcoming films. F this woke agenda shit. Wanna push it, be happy if I pirate their crap.
It’s going to be terrible. Guaranteed.
Have a like and some engagement for the algo.
It better not be woke because it if it is, I'll be seeing it. They better give blade justice.
As much as I respect Mahershala Ali, I lost hope with the movie
I don't trust Disney at all.
His "daughter" is a garbage insert with no real story of her own that makes sense.
The woke doesn't work. I really hope Disney gives up the woke agenda. Disney, the more you push, the more you lose.
I hope everyone boycotts the Fantastic Four if Pedro Pascal stays as Mr. Fantastic.
That is their most INSULTING, OFFENSIVE Race Swap, yet!!
“Some dumb motherphuckers are always trying to ice skate uphill.”
The REAL Blade.
Hollywood has a formula to do reboots to make more money from the initial success. This can be good with good stories and updated special effects. With woke agenda it's been proven the stories are not good, so all the remakes are now bad.
It’s gonna suck
Go woke, hire idiots, insert propaganda, go broke
Not interested. I'll stick to the old Blade movies.
with the direction disney is going, i do not see how they do our beloved blade any justice. blade is just too manly for them.
mahersala or however you spell it is probably like "oh i dont get replaced in the middle of the movie any more"?
disney: "nope, you now get replaced at the very end of the movie".
mahershala: "now thats encouraging"………………..
yea from what leaks iv seen of this movie im not going anywhere near it and the leaks to me sound just like there style 😛
the leaks i hear are he is going to be team up with a girl boss and hes going to be the tag along to be put down by the new girl boss at every turn! oh and they made blade lame and gay..
from what iv heard same old bull….
Wesley snipes or no one!
It's still PG13 so what battle did they win..
Tired of disney
Murphy's Law should maybe be dubbed "Marvel's Law"…
If there's a way for them to screw it up, best believe they'll find a way to do it!
Blade shall walk through the shadow of death in all 9 circles of development hell before it's released, I guarantee it.
Woke is mobilized mental ilness failure and anti science and faith.
"The problem with Disney is really simple.
There is not One Senior Executive at Disney That Actually Has Taste in quality Cinema, TV and generally Films As A Collaborative Artform.
And not one of them has an understanding of character arcs.
They are all in the wrong business.
My post on Jessie Grant's Channel the antiwoke Aussie Channel
It's from Disney, it's going to woke AF. They'll tell Ali what he needs to hear in order to film his scenes then edit wokeness into everything post production. The poor guy is being lied to in order to use him in another bait and switch maneouvre.
Blade better be in front of that cover I swear… I will never watch a remake ever again!
Remember that Johnny Mathis song, “ too much, too little, too late to try again with you…”
NOOOOOOOOOOoooooo!
LEAVE BLADE ALONE!
Let one of go see it and give a sit-rep back. When we hear from you guys its good we'll go for it.
I for one know better than to trust Disney. I smell a bait-and-switch.
