Conspiracy theorists say that both Chester and Chris Cornell(Audioslave, Soundgarden) were about to blow the lid on child trafficking from the Gov’t higher-ups when they committed… you know. I’m neither here nor there on that. I just miss them as musicians
Chris and Chester did crawling together and hunger strike.both just on fans video.
React to Jelly Roll -Hate goes on
Chester had a lot of trauma in his childhood and sometimes nobody can help make that pain go alway ? RIP Chester miss you so much. Longest scream that is amazing NOBODY can ever do what he did so effortlessly ?
Brother, I absolutely know what he was singing and going through. I had to give my best friend my guns for a while because I literally had it in my mouth ready to check out. Thankfully I stopped myself but depression is no joke. If anyone needs help please get it!
Omg! Im so excited you finally reacted to this song! It was so worth waiting for! ❤❤❤
This song is off their 3rd album, Minutes to Midnight. You gotta go back an album and enjoy all of Meteora. Many would argue it’s better than Hybrid Theory. Look up the story of everything that led up to them releasing Meteora and all the critics thinking they were going to be a 1-album wonder.
Linkin Park was the biggest band in the world for many years
Chester had a wife and kids who knew very well the struggles he faced. But you can't be with someone all the time. They released a video from the night before he died of them playing board games and laughing and cutting up and just having a really good time.
But the day he died, he had to fly back home by himself, and it just happened to be Chris Cornell's birthday. He was home alone and he drank for the first time in a long time. And drinking was one of the things that triggered suicidal tendencies in him.
So yes, the people that loved him saw what he was going through. He was always open about it, especially in song. But seeing it isn't always enough to help. Not when the pain is constant
Oh, yes! I had to rush in and watch your reaction to this when I saw the thumbnail.
Actually, Teddy, he was being treated for depression for years and his wife was right by his side. There are videos of him with his kids and dad a day or so before he killed himself where they were all laughing and eating awful-flavored jelly beans. Clearly, his lyrics were about pain but that's how a lot of people work through the pain and heal. I think it was a surprise to his wife and the bandmates when he took his own life. 🙁 He had children too. So sad.
He was saying "Take this ALL away; I'm suffocating". 🙂
That was a 17-second scream, my man. Chester was a beast and is now a legend. Gosh, I miss him/LP so much.
Listen, we are all still shocked because we always think that he was young, handsome, had a gorgeous wife, a successful band, super talented — we always think the grass is greener, ya know?
Next, please do From The Inside (or you can just do the whole Meteora album reaction. Heh heh).
I love how Teddy is speechless after the scream and Chesters like "Is there nothing you can say??"
Please also reacting to Blackpink – Kill this love
This song is kinda like my anthem. I've given up (quite literally) several times, my depression and dark thoughts just take hold of me and sometimes I'm not strong enough to fight them. Chester spoke about this feeling often and very openly but sometimes when you talk about it often people get used to it.
Since you're reacting to mental health music please react to Ren (of you haven't, I try looking for it but couldn't find if you had done it). Start with Hi Ren, and then do Chalk Outlines and How To Be Me by Ren and Chinchilla, and the Tale of Jenny, Screech and Violet (do these three together) the videos are recorded live and in one take. Chinchilla is also an excellent singer, they're both independent and starting to get traction. Thank you for your honest reactions.
To give you more context on his death (by suicide).
Apart from Chester’s mental health.
His best friend Chris Cornell: lead singer of Sound Garden (listen to some of their songs) committed suicide by hanging. Two months later on Chris’s birthday, Chester went out the same way his best friend did.
He sings take this all away not talk this arm away
It's funny help people think Chester Bennington committed suicide when he was Murdered. Don't believe me, look it up.
By the way I love the Nike hoodie just curious did you pay nike to that amount of nike ticks on your hoodie or did it come like that cos I've never seen a nike hoodie with 3 ticks on cos normally they only have one tick on not 3 ?
7:50 – He said Take this all away. Chris Cornell ended his own life a month before Chester did. Chester sang a song at Chris's funeral then ended his own life a few weeks later on Chris's birthday… 11:35 – It is survivors guilt.
Bro check out Masicka – Carbon ???????
Visualizer got the lyrics n it's heat I promise u ?????
Chester's music has saved so so many people. It's heartbreaking that even with all of the support he did have at the end of his life, it wasn't enough to save him.
Grateful you're still with us and I hope this music can be a comfort to you, a release, not just a reminder that sometimes struggles with depression and addiction take people too soon.
Your number 1 subscriber for sure!
I suggest the Linkin Park cover of Adele- Rolling in the Deep. It's amazing!
Chris and Chester were great friends, Chester was absolutely shattered when Chris took his life. He said he couldn't imagine a life without Chris in it. He took his life in the same manner as Cornell on what would have been Chris's 53rd birthday. Two very talented men, still in their prime, career wise, gone too soon. RIP Chris and Chester.
Oh, I'm sorry but I have to respond to your comments about Chester not having anything to live for, he "checked out." Chester Bennington had SIX children and a beautiful wife, he had so much to live for, but mental health is a bitch like that.
*
*Chris Cornell was actually Chester Bennington's best friend. Chester committed suicide on Cornell's birthday. And honestly, nothing would have changed what Chester did in the end…. maybe really intense therapy? But other than that, don't know what could have changed the outcome. I honestly don't believe Chester would have done that if Chris Cornell would have still been alive.
Bro check out Linkin park QWERTY! The vocals are insane!
Check out the Portuguese cover band Hybrid Theory. He sounds insanely like Chester and he does this scream LIVE and it’s incredible. They are amazing
Your welcome now you witness the sad evilness.
Man Chester and Linkin Park were something special. Very few bands have ever come close to how they made me feel. Absolute God Tier.
Brother, I'd love for you to check out Bring Me The Horizon (maybe start with Throne), IPrevail and specifically Aaj by BloodyWood. Love your reactions cause its great to see how passionately enjoy good music.
New subscriber after weeks of checking out your stuff. Appreciate what you’re doing and your approach and wanted to make an obscure suggestion: the band is called “In this moment”. Songs I recommend would be “Adrenalize”, “Blood”, and “Whore”. That album is sick as hell, from lyrics through production. Even if it never makes one of your videos you should check it out just for fun.
Chester was open about his struggles with addiction and depression
