It really depends on the TV show. Because some can work at the movies others won't.
I would still love to see an Adventure Time movie being made. Both Regular Show & Steven Universe have gotten telefilms, but Adventure Time doesn't? To me, that's a great injustice!

Does your top 12 movie adaptations of cartoons still hold up. The South Park movie is a tad dated. Its still good but pretty outdated for today's South Park

People should not judge the success of a planed movie based on the reaction to a failed one. Bewitched failed not because people don't want 60s TV show movies but because they made it a movie about a man making a movie about the TV show when the characters from the TV show were also real.
A lot of show like Doug or As Told by Ginger , Recess, Hey Arnold, Dougie Howser , would make fun movies as a return with aged up cast.
other movies like Kim Possible, Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Danny Phantom, Invader Zim , would need to be made with the right tone. None of this play it safe, woke, thin k of the children BS that ruins movies. None of the Dark and brooding be more realistic, play it serious get edgy BS that ruins movies. a Movie needs to be faithful to the original. If you are going to change it and reboot it fine but it has to keep what made the movie good.
The Kim Possible movie failed because the actress playing Kim went deliberately out of her way to not dress in a show accurate costume and didn't do any stunts. If they had aloud her to do some Jackie Chan style fights it would have been a lot more awesome. But Real life doesn't replicate cartoons very well.
Wanting characters to LOOK RIGHT is not a racist statement No one wants to see a 18 year old Rainbow Bright in a Navey blue almost black suit of battle armor riding a motorcycle and racking up a kill count while going to high school and awkwardly dealing with her boy band crush and dabbing. If she was at the same time also black and gay it would STILL be a Horrible movie.
We also don't want a line for line recreation of the original story. You do need to do some thing different so it feels worth the effort.
But you don't want to go so far away from the script that Aang is in Katarra's episode saying Katarra's lines taking away from Katarra's awesome moment to motivate Earth Benders who aren't on a ship at sea but are now in a rocky camp sight not bending rocks.
We want sex, profanity, violence with out being an edge lord with a gravelly voice brooding in the shadows with no gadgets, weapons or powers.
I wish some one would give me a few IPs and a crew and a solid cast. I would show them how its done.
