Aw that's a shame it wasn't for you. I enjoyed it a lot, this is one of those rare franchises where I love/like all the films.
I saw this twice in theaters, once around the time it was released (AKA during the height of the Barbenheimer phenomenon). The second time was on National Cinema Day 2023.
I haven't seen M:I 7, yet. I'm in no hurry to see it. First one was good. Second one sucked, I'm with you on that one, Matt. I didn't like John Woo's slo-mo and doves thing. And the plot just wasn't that interesitng. Early 2000s ultra cool hip nonsense. The third was decent, and that's saying a lot for a J.J. Abrams-directed movie. Four, I could care less. I saw it one time and haven't watched it since. I believe that was the Mission: Impossible movie that was meant to replace Tom Cruise with Josh Holloway. I guess they realized what a mistake that would have been and decided to kill off Holloway's character instead. ? I do like Rogue Nation and Fallout, though. They were the true followups to the first film, as far as I'm concerned. I don't know what they plan to do with this series after Dead Reckoning 2 releases, but I think I'm done with it. It's been going on a long time and I just don't care anymore.
Glad I skipped this one. It sounds about as dull as Ghost Protocol and the excessive running time definitely doesn't make me eager to watch it. This is a very hit-or-miss franchise for me
Yeah I was never that big on these films I still enjoy both part 2&3 the most I tried to get in to the first film it just never interested me bro as for the ones after the 3rd film I still haven't seen yet. It always seems like both Vin Diesal and Tom Cruise are in competion with each other or it's both Universal and Paramount pictures think about both films come out in the same year both films are also markerted as 2 parter final films of there film series with both studios or actors changing there minds deciding to do more films in there film series I find that interesting how both this and ''Fast X'' both bombed very badly I honestly feel maybe just people are tired of both ''Fast&Furious''&''Mission-Impossible'' films period IMHO. Awesome job once again bro??
Very honest new review, Matt. of one of the worst Mission Impossible films. the only two I actually really like in the franchise. are the original & Rogue Nation. good shout out for Eagle Eye, as well. 🙂
Great review Matt, personally I Actually Loved Mission Impossible 7, Great Action, Well Directed & Written, Tom Cruise did Fine IMO but I do Agree Matt he did look Tired though, but he did he had to do, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, & Carry Elwes did a Great Job, I Love Mission Impossible 2, 3, & 7 are my favorites, I Like 5 & 6 there Ok but there my Least favorites in the franchise, I don't like 1 & 4 are the bad films in the franchise, I Love Mission Impossible 7 its 1 of my favorites of Tom Cruise & of 2023 Too❤
This entry was such a let down after Mission Impossible 5 & 6. What was done with Rebecca Ferguson's character was also very disappointing just to be replaced by Haley Atwell's character. The A.I. plot didn't up the intensity just very contrived. For me this is the most disappointing film of 2023.
I really Like Tom Cruise he's a Good Actor very Charismatic & Talented not 1 of my favorite actors but I Like him I Love Valkyrie, Knight & Day, Jack Reacher, Collateral, Edge of Tomorrow, Last Samurai, War of The Worlds 2005, Mission Impossible 2, 3, & 7, Days of Thunder & Austin Powers 3 those are my favorites of his
I Love Cary Elwes he’s a Great Actor very Charismatic & Talented, he’s 1 of my Favorite Actors, I Love Twister, Days Of Thunder, Saw 1 & 7, Liar Liar, Edison Force, & Mission Impossible 7 those are my Favorites Of his ❤
Nice job reviewing a film that I was also felt was a massive let down. I even saw it in the theater. Other than two action scenes near the end I thought this was full of lazy writing, aggravating twists and it was easily the most forgettable and generic Mission Impossible film to date.
I don't think Ilsa is dead. Rebecca Ferguson is listed under the cast for the next movie. That could be cover-up to hide spoilers for 7, but Batman V Superman and Justice League did something similar. Superman died at the end of BvS, but if you had went to the Justice League IMDB page opening weekend for BvS, Henry Cavill was listed under the cast. And looked what happened in Justice League. Superman was revived. So I think Ilsa isn't dead. And right before Ethan left the club, he and Ilsa exchanged looks like they knew something/were up to something. I caught this exchange the second time I watched the movie. I think Ethan and Ilsa faked her death to get the Entity off her. I can see her coming back during the final act of 8 in some big reveal/twist to help put an end to the Entity.
I Love 2023 it was Great Year For Movies IMO, 1 of my Favorite Years For Movies, I Love The Covenant 2023, The Meg 2, Expendables 4, Mission Impossible 7, Champions, Renfield, Plane, Creed 3, Aquaman 2, Silent Night 2023, The Pope’s Exorcist, Insidious 5, Saw X, Strays 2023, Retribution, Equalizer 3, & Freelance Those are my Favorites Of 2023
Film was okay. Made me want to watch the others. They need to chill on these film lengths. Not a fan of how long they are making movies these days. But yeah. Its not a bad movie. It just came up short compared to the others. Theres no real replay value. Maybe ill watch it once more in my life lol. The others ive seen numerous times.
I respectfully disagree on this one, I felt this was a great entry into the M.I series. I enjoyed the story and the action was plentiful in my opinion, that train sequence was worth the price of admission alone.
It is a step down from Fallout, but I still liked the film, and I respect the opinions here. The fact that they changed the name is kind of annoying. Well, it’s a little too late for that now since the title is literally on the blu ray cases and such.
Rogue Nation will always be my favourite.

Don't let tom see this reveiw he will lock your ass up in that scientology basement
Do you prefer action movies rated r or pg13 ? I'm more drawn in to r rated.
Definitely a step down. The previous two films were much better.

I saw this movie in theaters and it wasn’t a lot of people there
I can believe that Agent Carter is in this movie
I remember eagle eye
I skipped this one because to me the series ended perfectly with FALLOUT. Seems like I made a wise decision

Completely agree.. the movie was so slow and dialogue heavy. There’s only 2 action scenes which are in the last 20 minutes.
I still love MI:2
I respectfully disagree on this one,
I felt this was a great entry into the M.I series. I enjoyed the story and the action was plentiful in my opinion, that train sequence was worth the price of admission alone.
after how awesome top gun maverick was this was sure of a step down
Didn't like the so-called A.I. antagonist in this 7th movie. The movie was also overlong in my opinion. Some of the action and stunts were awesome!
