It was a cool little movie on par with the first. It's not bigger, but it feels a bit more polished. Hope they make another sequel, Robbie Amell is a likable dude.
It was terrible, and I’m saying that as someone who is a fan of the first one. Suffered from characters making dumb decisions getting everyone killed, Robbie Amell’s character being so annoyingly self righteous, and the trope of the MC protecting the “special” little girl is really worn out at this point. The bad guy was also generic as hell too. Just bad writing without enough subversive elements to make up for it. Also the whole series of events started because the girls older brother was a moron which didn’t help either.
The movie was far from terrible it wasn't an excellent movie but it wasn't remotely bad and yeah her brother did make stupid choices but humans are stupid sometimes.
The villain was also very believable and entire task force of police that are crooked that is extremely realistic in fact just a year or so ago there was a big news case about how there are literal police gangs like literal gangs within the police force that acting similar way to the bloods and crips.
Never said anything about the “believability” of the villain, just because a character being a corrupt cop is believable doesn’t make the villain himself any less generic in the context of this movie. It wasn’t just the brother being dumb also, multiple characters made dumb choices that you could see right through as being bad plot devices to just get to the next act. You could predict almost exactly what was going to happen in the rest of the film after the first 20 minutes when you catch the sense that the plot is going to be really generic.
I think the first movie was way more interesting and crafty with its world-building and character motivations, this is just a typical “powerful bad guys are after me and a little girl I need to protect” movie with unfortunate regressions in character development.
it was shit tbh , first one was really good because i think they made it with tight budget so instead of throwing money at every problem they actually thought about how they gonna make it, but this one felt like they had lots of money and didn't know what to do with it, even the CGI was horrible compare to the first movie, story and characters were generic AF.
First one was better because it was more personal. Robbie doesn’t really do much in this film, besides protecting the little girl.
If they had replaced him with Stephen’s corrupt character being morally redeemed through the little girl, it would’ve been better. Cliché but his character being a selfish prick to the end was boring considering he did most of the heavy lifting in this film.
If there’s a Part 3, bring back Pav and make the story more character-relationship focused rather than the plot.
Some things were quite dumb. Just because he didn’t get the full injection of the lethal toxin he doesn’t die? His powers don’t work in the dogs because they said? Her power was new and unknown for five seconds till Garrett shows up and is like “she’s a transducer” overall script and story need alot of improvement to make more sense. Still with all of its flaws it’s a great set of films made my people who actually care about an audience. With all the problems it’s still better than an ai script. I look forward to a part three but I want more showdown with Connor and all the robots.
Movie is not great , but at the end you can hear the reporter saying the spike uses is increasing even after exposing the corruption and the « bad cop »
so is the city was better with the cops « controlling » the drug ?

It’s much the same as the first
Now, that’s not a bad thing, more of a pizza is still a pizza … and baby, you know I love pizza.
I would like a part III

Im just thankful Pav died, annoying piece of sh*t. Also why did they made connor very stupid/annoying, complete downgrade from the first movie.
I highly disagree
Overall the movie was fine.
