Dan Lin, a producer on the Lego animated film franchise and Netflix’s recent live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, has been appointed as the streamer’s new head of film
There’s a show called Half Bad that got canceled and it was great. I don’t think it’s a race thing, just Netflix being money hungry as fuck. I also loved The Brothers Sun but casting could’ve been a bit better.
It was boring af. I stopped watching half way into it. I didn't like it. If this same show was done with AMerican Culture only it would have been cancelled even faster lol. The acting was not good. Was too much trope generic archetype characters.
Get real, has nothing really to do with race but more to do with streaming numbers and money. That's what's lording above all now, so real road to success depends on asian producers finally figuring out what plot or design would get the attention and viewership needed.
I'm pissed off! That show was amazing ALL of the actors did a great job. And I wasn't looking for a major serious show. But I understand if people want real energy in this show.
I rooted for them to succeed because I am so sick of people holding up Jackie Chan (aka the worst philandering bootlicking anti-wuxia value a-hole) as any kind of representation of the best of us. It's a true shame they cancelled the show.
Its actually the lack of promotion. I feel like in Netflix u gotta do alot of promotions like non stop socmed promo, press tour and stuff. I think that's what it lacked!
I really enjoyed it ,they cancel too many good shows

I'm still waiting for the series about 'Roof Koreans' during the 90s L.A. riots.
The Brothers Sun was amazing. Netflix doesn't deserve the talent.

Michelle Rolodex be giving out too much information on our ghost organizations lol
The main point i got out of this video is that andrew is dating someone. Lol. It got dropped out of nowhere ?
if a white guy was the main protagonist , and he was the center of all Asians it would have did well
Never heard of this show, but why am I not surprised to see Michelle Yeoh is in yet another asian representation piece
Rumble n the Bronx is goateed
Affirmative action lost in colleges then Hollywood gave Michelle all the Asian roles as reparations?

It got cancelled because the show was making asians too cool. Apparently asians need to go back to default by being good at maths nerdy show..
im not Chinese so o donnt have any standard to compare it with but it was entertaining enough for me
It was goofy..like American Born Chinese with triads. Need something with a more serious tone
its a good show but i dont think they need another season tho
They just hire an Asian boss for Netflix, Dan Lin.
The first episode didnt open Very strong. Dont say its an Asian thing. I only way watched most of the first episode.
Sorry, guys. My fault. I thought it was gonna be on for a while, so I never got around it.

They have lots of korean shows and movies. And they cancel tons of shows and cartoons. Netflix binge business model is unsustainable.
I loved the actors. The problem was the plot made no sense. It was a total waste of an opportunity
Hopefully season 2 gets picked up elsewhere
saw a couple eps, honestly wasn;t that good…

wtf?
I knew it! i notice how few people were reacting to this series, shame really wish it could have continued with second season
literally finished watching the series a couple weeks ago this blows smh
1:27 ….well, Beef is being recasted, the pattern is starting to become pretty obvious
Dang. Great show and a bummer it's not up for season 2.
talk about the new show Shogun. that one is pretty good compared to this netflix garbage.

They didn’t do ANY marketing for it…I’m not surprised it didn’t do well.
It was so good! I was looking forward to a second season.
