Jimmy should have told Chelsea up front instead of after that date, but I have to go with Jimmy on this one. In my opinion, I think he dodged a perpetual needy, whiney, “clingy” bullet. Clay didn’t just drop a bomb, he dropped a freakin nuke. Nobody saw that coming. He said in one of his interviews that he felt stupid. Yeah you were. Johnny and Amy: foregone conclusion. Great end to the show. Good show y’all. Great rundown.
Jimmy almost had me fooled, i really thought he wanted to be with her despite her nagging but I realized with the way he dumped her he knew he wasnt gonna marry her the moment he saw she didn't look like Megan Fox. He did the right thing but he is still a cornball for dragging it out
Clay wasted everyone's time, I dont think he was ever fully into AD, did yall realize not one time in the season did he call her beautiful?! Clay said dealing with her made him better, he offered her NOTHING
I’ve heard that if you get engaged on the show and DON’T make it to the altar then you have to pay a $50K fine. Apparently it’s in the contract when you sign up to be on the show, so the financial incentive to keep things going to the end cannot be ignored ??♀️
Interestingly enough, I doubt AD will have any financial doubts moving forward. She’s so well liked, bubbly, I feel like she’s going to gain a great deal of influencer opportunities and hopefully will go the same route as Raven and do some fitness entrepreneurship. Jimmy and Chelsea started to have real Al and Peggy Bundy energy. He seemed over her more than he was into her. Like, a nag of a woman that he was stuck with. I think he would’ve gotten married if he didn’t consider her volatile. But I do feel bad for her. I think all her behavior was rooted in her picking up on him not being entirely into her. She sensed that.
I was sorry to see my prediction for AD come to pass and agree Netflix really tried to lead us in a different direction. This maybe an unpopular view but she was frankly giving more than he deserved without him putting in tangible effort that can give her confidence or encouragement to continue to invest. Not all men are the same but from my observation, Clay's type would not truly respect that way of "loving" him because he's seen how devalued that sort of support is in parent's marriage. He's "the grass is greener on the other side" sort and evidently he wasn't content with the women who wanted him because the ones who didn't him are the ones he most wanted by his own admission.
That dinner with his mum and AD was very illuminating. Instead of hearing what AD and his mum were expressing he got unnecessarily defensive and dismissive. He knows intellectually he should change but doesn't have it in his heart to. Not as long as he's admiring his Dad's suaveness and smoothness with the ladies instead of seeing as a fault and something to be reserved for your chosen one.
I hope AD realises that she is enough. Its just that Clay perhaps isn't enough for himself in so far as there's a big gap between the man he wants to be and the one he is at this time.
Jimmy asking her “where are you at” and Chelsea not even being able to give an answer. Then when she does , basically told him “I’m hot and cold, some days I love you some days I hate you but let’s go ahead and get married” Honestly he was probably pissed in that moment. I would be. So his delivery was emotional and angry. After all of this and weeks of poring all of myself into this and you STILL don’t think I love you or was ever here to get married. It’s disrespectful and shows nothing he was ever gonna be able to do would be enough.
I’m surprised AD talked to him. I don’t know how anyone else would feel, but if you say no at the altar, I don’t want to see or hear from you ever again. Being jilted at the altar is scarring, especially when it’s on international tv. He should have been a man and said no before the altar. He choose to wait until she got to the altar with her close family and friends, at her most vulnerable moment to publicly reject her. His reasoning was good, but the same way he kept bringing up those fidelity trips before even prepping his mother is the same way he decided to casually humiliate AD. It’s crazy.
Clay could have spoken to AD about finances, but he was too busy not coming home from work! Also, AD has two jobs, and could have been taking PTO for the duration of the show. We don't know. Maybe she'll clarify it at the reunion!
It’s so sad that some people go on the show for fame and not for love. I hope they can vet better next season (although they probably won’t because they like drama)! It’s really weird that the show looks for people on Instagram; I hope they stop doing that at least.
Chelsea was very insecure and betrayed Jimmy’s trust, but I think she could feel from the beginning that Jimmy wasn’t into her. I think Jimmy might have not wanted to look bad on camera, so that’s why he kept telling her he loved her and that she did wifely things even though he didn’t actually meaning it. Diabolical ?
Chelsea is so manipulative. I’m glad Jimmy finally saw the light before it was too late. And AD proves that love is deaf! Because the way she ignored those red flags every time Clay was trying to warn her about his inability to commit…
Jimmy could’ve humiliated Chelsea at the altar, but didn’t.. she should thank him. He was done with her the moment she betrayed his trust and basically told him that he can’t go out, and he can’t have friends. ??
Clay doesn’t deserve AD, and never will. I predicted that Jimmy and Clay would both say NO, so I’m pretty happy with this finale. Amy and Johnny were a sure thing.. no surprises here.
Like we say in my country, that couple was “el hambre y las ganas de comer.” Their dysfunctions complemented each other, one was desperate for validation and constantly insecure, and the other was a two-faced liar who said one thing and did another and got off on the attention he got. The perfect trainwreck.
If Clay and AD are still together, I think he will cheat on her with someone whose face he absolutely loves! When he saw her down the aisle he said BODY! AD's baby voice, her Mrs. Fix it, Mrs. I can heal him; I need him to stay with me nature! Chelsea dino running, whiny baby voice, sad mouth, just pisses me off! CLAY KNEW WHAT THIS SHOW WAS WITH HIS SASSY ASS!
When Clay's mom said "you met me but you wasnt good to me" I feel like a lot of viewers felt that ? ? I would love to have someone as wise as her on my side, Clay is a lucky man to have someone like her not just in his life but as a mother. I imagine if he does start going to therapy she will be really supportive of him
Absolutely not and I am so sorry, but I’m not that cool and definitely not that progressive. If you have a friend you’ve had a sexual relationship with, they’re not welcome if we’re getting married or even in a committed relationship. And I won’t do that either. I am not one to be friends with ex’s anyways. I knew Jimmy wouldn’t do it. I knew Chelsey would marry him no matter what, but she’s way too insecure, and she isn’t in love with him either.
Jimmy broke up with Jess in a similar way he broke up with Chelsea. Says a bunch of positive things, waffling about, then "You'll make a great wife for someone else"
I think Jimmy snd jessica wil date after the show

Possible reunion spoiler⚠
Natalie of Out of the Pods said they addressed Trevor texts at the reunion and they verified the texts to be true.

I don't like how you guys seem to WANT AD to be the bad person when Clay clearly played in her face the whole time. What's that about? ?
