it always bothered me watching this as a kid the jack Nicholson thing. i was always confused why he was playing two characters and not very well distinguished or costumed/disguised. I always assumed it was the president in disguise lol like it was going to be a plot twist.
Regarding Bond: Do bookends. The two very best are two of the earliest: From Russia with Love and Goldfinger. And the last few with Daniel Craig aren't bad, either. Most of the rest is just….Hollywood crap.
3:17 – "I really want to get into James Bond, but I have no clue where to start, so let me know." – Start with the first James Bond film, Dr. No (1962), starring Sean Connery.
9:40 – "How do you call that in English when you se your butt?" – When someone exposes their butt to someone else, intentionally, or unintentionally, it's call "mooning" them. Or if you want to call attention to it (maybe the person doesn't realize their pants are that low), you could say something like "Wow, there's a full moon out tonight." On the other hand, when you only see the top of the person's butt crack, that's usually referred to as a "coin slot". So a good joke might be "I guess the martians are going to have to pay a toll, there's the coin slot."
Have you seen the BBC 3 part production of War of the Worlds? It's closest to the novel I've seen: set in the 1900s; I think it preempts World War One, Best depiction of the tripod machines I've seen in any recent movie.
When you remarked on all the actors I thought of Annette Benning — famous, but you probably don't know her (she played the new-ager wife of the Jack Nicholson casino mogul). And I thought "Hey, now there's a movie nobody does reactions to but it's a GREAT movie that you would likely find interesting: American Beauty! And then I thought of one of my favorite directors who HATES American Beauty: Todd Solondz, and that I'm CERTAIN you would find his first movie GREAT to react to: Welcome to the Dollhouse. I think you should consider those two, American Beauty and Welcome to the Dollhouse. They're very well known, but nobody has done reactions to them, that I've noticed.
Ack-ack, ack, ack, ack-ack! Great tribute to the alien invasion movies of the 50s and 60s. So many stars signed on to the project. The best use of Slim Whitman music ever. As far as Bond movies go; please start with DR NO. All the guys are great, each with their own style, but you need to see the man who gave the rest a base to work from. Take care of Alex
Funfact: Arf arf arf was mostly used by Charles M Schulz with Peanuts. So now when I see that anywhere I instantly have to think about Snoopy..which gives me a real good feeling
This movie was based on a series of trading cards from 1962. I believe as a kid you would buy a small pack of cards and it also came with a stick of chewing gum. The aliens look almost exactly like how they were on the cards.
They delayed the release of this movie for nearly a year because it's original release window was right next to Independence Day, which you have seen. Similar plot.
Movie reactor 5350: "I don't know with which Bond movie to start…." My crazy idea: Start with the FIRST one! 😉 —- Dr. No (1962, with Sean Connery) Thanks for the reaction to this one!
There are a few decade-specific gags in this film that younger audiences would have no way of knowing about. One of which is about the yodeler, Slim Whitman. He was a singer but in the 1970s, cheap ads for his albums BLANKETED American independent television broadcasting, especially late at night when old sci-fi movies would be broadcast. They were famously godawful. You couldn't escape the ads and this was Tim Burton's revenge. GREAT reaction, Ms Mary, really enjoyed it.
If you’d like some more sci fi, please consider continuing the old Planet of the Apes films
And starting some Godzilla

Not the greatest Tim Burton, but very enjoyable… and that amazing cast !
I really love the young Natalie Portman.
For James Bond you should start with the first one, "Dr. No" with Sean Connery.
Love you Mary! ♥♥♥
Ack! Ackkk! Ack ACK!
Warner Bros: copyright claim!

Welcome to silly, yet entertaining, over-the-top dark humor.
Enjoyed you enjoying this all-star oddity. 🙂

You should react to Signs (2002) with Mel Gibson next, really good movie

I have to admit…already loved your reactions. Now, it's a new level of ❤ cause I watched T. Burton film this as an extra!
Yes, Godzilla is a dinosaur
PS: Don't be discouraged with the ultra rich copyright crap. Plow through and keep growing beauty

As with most things, start at the beginning: The first James Bond movie, Dr No.

FINALLY… a reactor gets the 'Do the martians have two sexes?' joke…

There are only 2 sexes 🙂
21:41 classic artee-dooty
Great reaction as usual. Add "Ed Wood" to your list of Tim Burton films.
I 100% didn't get this when I first saw it, actually in theater. My pals were excited, I just ?
I always call those annoying little dogs Fifisectie 😉
Fun fact, there was a time when this was trying to be created. All the actors heard about it and helped make it 😉
Great reaction to a very underrated movie! Please react to 'Galaxy Quest' if you can. <3

I like to point out that this alien invasion parody came out about half a year after Independence Day.
